iPhone
iPhones are one of the most popular phones if not the most popular. Everyone has one or has used one. iPhone is a product of Apple, Apple products have been around since the 70s and have been creating modern technologies since then, one of the most popular items being the iPhone. The iPhone is relaunched about every year, Apple creates a new model or version updating the phone's features. As this may benefit some people, for others spending money on a new phone every year might not be practical or unnecessary. I have talked with iPhone users about relaunching iPhones and how likely they are to get the updated version. Many of the answers varied between users and whether they were ready for a new phone. However, the cost of the iPhone was the biggest problem.
Cost of an iPhone
Depending on the iPhone you buy prices for the device may vary. Although all my interviews claimed the prices were too high. Juliana Trujillo is a senior at New Mexico State and uses her phone often for her job, or social reasons. She and many other interviewers said the main reason for their new phones was that their old ones were broken. Juliana Trujillo said, she buys and new iPhone it is not very often “The last iPhone I had was about for 5 years, the only reason I got a new one was because my old one started glitching out on me.” Juliana could not trade in her phone, because she said it got to the point where it was scrap metal. She had to buy a new iPhone for about $700. When buying or trading in an old phone the prices will vary, and so will the condition for trade-in offers. Juliana said, “iPhones are too expensive.” Savannah Whiznot says she buys a new phone every three years usually because she says, “That's usually when my phone starts to bug out, so I buy a new one.” Savannah claims every time she does go into the store to buy a new phone, she tries to go in during the trade-in offers because iPhones are “too expensive to purchase without getting some sort of deal,” Savannah says. Another interviewer Jordan Schalow says, that if he did go into the Apple store and they did not have a sale, he would not have bought his new phone, but because of the trade-in offer, they gave him $350 off. All interviewers said iPhones are worth it but only buy them when they are doing their trade-in offers, without them they can get expensive and fast, with all the extra things you buy when getting a new phone like screen protector, cases, and data.

Why get a new iPhone
Many interviewers said that getting a new phone usually comes when an old one is broken. There are many reasons for a new phone my interviewers told me about their reasons for new phones, they include “a broken screen, broken cameras, or just because the newest updated version came out.” The most common reason to buy an iPhone was the camera quality. Juliana said, the camera quality was her favorite part, and when she does buy a new phone, she looks forward to the camera and taking pictures. She said, “Each new iPhone comes with better-updated cameras than the ones before.” Jordan also agrees with this statement. Jordan was not able to take photos for months because his back camera cracked, and his front screen was broken. When he got his new iPhone 15, which came out in September of 2023 he said his favorite feature was the camera. Savannah also likes the camera because it was able to take pictures of moments like this...

Savannah also says, “iPhones are good to use when you have other software linked to Apple products, it makes working easier when all things can be linked together.” All interviewers' said iPhones have excellent features like, “Facetime, Apple Pay, Airdrop, and other cool features.” Jordan says, “If it wasn’t for the camera and other cool features and apps I would stick with a flip phone.” According to a Tom Guide article about 10 why iPhones are better than Androids, it says these reasons are, “iPhones are faster, better hardware and software integration, easy phone to use, updates when you want them, the best apps go to iPhone first, better storage, works well with Macs and Mac products, apple pay, family sharing, better support and help through apple.” These are all reasons why iPhones are superior to Androids according to Toms Guide. Many people say iPhones are superior, they seem to break down more than any other phone type. After 3-5 years each one of my interviewers said they got a new phone because their old one started to glitch or bug out, which usually means it's time for a new phone.
iPhone Users
iPhone users are more common than any other cell phone user. Apple products include many different technologies that link up with all other Apple devices, which makes it easier to work with. Few other companies can do so. This makes it easier for all your work to be connected and in the same area, but it makes it harder to lose a piece of work. Many users enjoy having all their work in one spot. iPhone users also get customer help and support. Apple has many locations of stores throughout the United States, which offer help, support, and resources for iPhone users. Other cell phone brands have customers walk into their carrier to ask a question. Carriers include T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. Carriers know about plan deals, but not always about how to work or use a phone. Apple can help you with more advanced questions. According to Toms Guide article, it says, “When you have a problem with your Android phone, you can try finding a solution on online forums or calling your carrier. But with the iPhone, you can tap into a vast database of useful help articles on Apple's website, get help via live chat, or schedule an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar. Apart from the Pixel line, Google does not have this kind of direct relationship with its customers. For other Android phones, you must go through your carrier or the phone maker, and you will not see the same level of service.” Not only does Apple help customers but also their employees. Apple states that they will help any employee to feel comfortable in their own skin. Also allowing for them to receive deals on Apple products. Customer and employee satisfaction are important, and many workplaces, or environments do not offer appreciation to staff.

Should You Wait and Buy the Newest iPhone?
My dad always told me growing up does your pocketbook allow it? Really that is the question to be asked before any big purchase. Other important questions to ask oneself, with the iPhone's biggest quality being the cameras, how often does one use the camera, is camera quality important to you? Or do iPhones just work best with other technology that is already owned? These are all questions to ask before buying an iPhone. Most interviewers seemed happy with their purchases, however, there could always be room for improvement. With the prices of iPhones differing from the last, it is important to remember the deals you can get and when to trade in your phone for the next new and improved one. Overall iPhones are the most popular cell phones that seem to connect well with other devices. If purchasing an iPhone, make sure and read the reviews but chances of you getting a good phone are quite common. Until they start to bug out which leads you to buy a new one 3-4 years down the road.

IS NO ONE GOING TO TALK ABOUT SAVANNAH BEING DRESSED AS THE LORAX??? I'm delighted this moment was captured and shared 😂
Awesome article, iPhones have become so prevalent in todays day and age. Almost every single person has an iPhone. It's amazing like you said how people use them for their jobs constantly.
I would switch to android if I could, to be perfectly honest. But I started as an apple user years ago and all of my music and pictures are backed up in the cloud. I don’t really want to transfer all of it over if I can help it. So iPhone it is. My only problem with them is that they’re made out of glass.
I really enjoyed the research you put in to this blog post and deciding to not only include so facts but the opinions of others. I love and only use Apple products because of how easy it is to pair everything with other Apple things and even smart tvs.
As someone with an Iphone I really like it because the benefits fo being able-to move over media from my phone to my lab-top or anything else has always been extremely beneficial as a filmmaker. That being said I actually got the SE a few years back and while I do regret not getting a better camera I still have a home button since that model was created specifically to have one.
